Focus is the Key

Anybody who suffers from allergies knows how difficult things can be when your body isn't cooperating. It's an up-down battle thru many seasons. Especially when you suffer from indoor allergies.

Two years ago, construction on 2 new buildings started fifty yards from where I live.  I've recently noticed everything I own is covered in white dust. This irritates me because that is the number one thing I'm allergic to, dust. How do I keep it out? What dust comes from something that is white?

I've had to change allergy medications which I easily become addicted to. It makes me groggy, and then when it starts to wear off in 24 hours I become irritable.  Sometimes, I feel like it takes me hours to accomplish anything.
Running three etsy shops, having a full time job, and attempting to stay in shape can be challenging.  Especially when my focus is off.

So for the holiday season, I've decided to work on some new bracelets and here are a few of my favorites:

My chicken, Bonita, stops laying eggs in the winter. So for Christmas, I gave her and the gang a bag of pretzels and they started laying eggs again!

January Thaw

Rumor has it the ice skating rink around here might be closing up shop this week because of the warm weather. Just last week it was so frigid every school and lax business also closed up shop.

The other thing that is also very cold, the 9 year old triple distilled vodka in my OJ! I keep trying to find somebody to drink it but everyone is in disbelief that I've held onto for that long. I purchased the bottle when I first moved into my current residence.  It's sat next to broccoli and potatoes thru the holiday, while four bottles of wine were drank, and still nobody touched it. Until now!

The holidays were more than I could ask for. I spent the day with my mom, her boyfriend, grandparents, and uncle. My Grandmother is a hoot in her old age. Eating with her is difficult as she's forgetful and doesn't understand what 'gluten free' is. A few years ago she came inches from shoving a cupcake into my mouth. She easily becomes frustrated with me during the holidays when I don't eat. Or I'm not eating what everyone else is. 

After Christmas dinner we layered up our clothes and went sledding. I haven't done this in years! It makes me want to head out to a ski resort.

Not, your typical sledding. No hills to walk up, and it's sort of like surfing. Sooner or later, you will wipe out. The last time I was being pulled with a rope, it was down the highway on a pair of roller skates. That resulted in a more painful ending.
